anyone own a pop up camper??

hey guys my question is this, in town there is a descent pop up camper for sale used for cheap..... you know the kind, you pull them behind your rig, there only a couple feet tall, then when you park you slide up the canvas sides so its full sized?? anyway as of now i pull a cargo trailer with two quads to the dunes and sleep in a tent/bed of truck/ or in the trailer depending on conditions.. looking at this pop up it would be nice to have a little living room setup out there for taking the breaks in..... now heres my two questions.... first does air conditionin work in these things or does the canvas not hold temperature? And second and foremost is this goinna work... my two quads, one will go in the back of the truck..but the other would have to go right on top of the pop up camper when it is in the folded position... the one on top would be the wife's 250ex, only wieghs about 300lbs.... what do you guys think? anyone own one? how strong are the tops when they are closed??
thanks guys.

i use to sell pop-up campers and know for sure they will not support the weight of an atv. last trip to little sahara i camped next to a guy the had the same deal, pickup and a pop-up. he mounted a flat bed to the top of his truck box (basic 8 1/2 wide trailer bed) 2 long ramps and it looked like it worked great!! find a welding shop to make brackets from the pockets in you'r box to the trailer frame minus the axle and you'r there
