well how did you put it on? i matched it up to the headpipe and then bolted the frame and then put the clamp on, i tried puttin the clamp on b4 boltin it 2 the frame and it was fitting wierd so ionno, this is just wat i did with mine

and i know wat i said sounds dumb but for some reason thats how it was, but i think the clamp was a lil screwed up, cuz after i got my pipe back wen it got repaired i got a new clamp and it was different, and i had no trouble then, no matter how i did it
