Sick Outlander at 6.8 miles
Yesterday I got out for my first ride on my new Outlander . I drove an hour to a logging
road to meet a friend with a Quest XT . We got about a mile away from the vehicles and
horrable crunch and metalic click sound started to come from the front right wheel . It
seemed to make the noise with every rotation of the wheel . On the way back to the truck
the noise got louder and could be felt through the bars . I loaded the bike and drove another
hour to the dealer . When we unloaded and tried to duplicate the sound it wasn't there . I
got on , drove for a while and it came back , at slow speed . The dealer also got the same
sound when he drove it . They said it sounded like a bad bearing .
It came with a 3 year warranty . I have 8.9 miles on it now , 2 years 11 months left on
warranty . Not a good start .
Any one else had this problem ?
I go on vacation for 2 weeks , and will see what the dealer has found when I get back .

Might of been a rock, then again it may have been a broken CV joint...hehe, those are fun. You may have gotten a defective component, it happens to all manufacturers. My kawi busted a CV joint in less than 20 hours, got it fixed in no time under warranty and I'm off and running with not other problems.
