I know a couple of you were talking about puting a streetbike engine in a DS. Well i was checking out ebay today and found this.

well, it is in Los Angeles and has paddles on it so someone on here may have seen it at Pismo, Dumont, or Glamis and can say if it was a runner or not.

 

That is a lot of motor for 90 hp. A lot of money to. Get a 720 on nos or a turbo. be cheaper

 

Yah, Im guessing it wasnt to cheap to buy that engine and have it installed in the DS frame. I just thought it was cool to see someone do that to a DS, pretty unique. I would like to see it run!

 

That would have been worth the swap if he had put a real motor in it....A motor from a GSXR 750 puts out around 140 HP at the crank stock. Or just a GSXR 600 motor would be okay too. But a yzf600...ewww. An R-6 maybe...but yzf..big mistake.

Interesting, but you could get the same power with a lot less weight and complexity with a 521 2-stroke Ski-Doo motor. Of course coupling to the tranny might be a little difficult - unless you go automatic. I love 2-strokes, especially my 809 Rotax triple. Maybe if we don't get more snow this winter.....nah!

About 170+ HP give or take. And that scream...oh my...
