Feeling Great about my DS !!!
Went to Silver Lake to do a little tuning. I cut 4 coils off the carb spring and went to the drag strip and let them have it! The DS was SMACK'N'EM DOWN I am a happy man I had a smorgasbord of quads that I beat up on Let's see there was a bunch of rapptors And banshees and Every EX and Z. I even stayed wheel to wheel with a real nice 250R The only thing that beat every time was a highly modafied Banshee.

it is very east ot modify your carb spring.
1. Takeoff the seat
2. Take off the snorkel tube and bend it back nd hook it under the frame.(outta the way now)
3. you have two phillips head screw on top take the apart, might meed to use some fine nose vise gripto get the broke, then slowly remove the lid and you will see a large spring in the middle of the diaphram.
4. remove the spring careful not to damage the diaphram and cut four coils off.
5. reverse process and enjoy

Fastones instructions were good. That diaphram (no jokes) is sometimes hard to get back in while you put the cap on but it will go. I found that cutting 6 coils works the best, IMO, I done a lot of pissing around with this and I found 6 to be the lucky #. Just cut the spring and put it back in. This WILL be the easiest and cheapest mod for a stock carb, and I reccomend doing this FIRST to a stock machine and go from there with the mods you want. Enjoy the quicker throttle response!!!
