installing tach?

Default installing tach?

is there anything to beaware of when installing the tach?

nop, its pretty easy, the hardest part is cutting out the hole, then hook up 3 wires which already have connectors on them, they made it really easy

I had a couple things with the instructions.

First the drawing provided had the brackets going together incorrectly.
Second the wiring wasn't correct for my 2001 yellow ds. Off the ignition I had to switch wires or the tach would always be on. Pretty easy to do and really easy to see when it isn't correct - light on the tach is on when the key is off.

I had scaned and posted the instructions as well as a couple installation pictures on Buttfungus' site. I think the info is now on the ds650net site or something.

Does anyone make a tach for the DS that goes beyond 10,000 rpms??? WAY BEYOND!! like 15,000[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

installed the tach this weekend and it was great, bombardier does it nice, cut the hole and start plugging in wires. it is kind of nice to see where your engine is. now i think new bars are needed a set with out a cross bar.
