I'm always confuesd LOL[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] The power seems to be better. Beat up on a bunch of people at Silver Lake[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Stayed side by side with a real nice 250R [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Don't think he was to happy, Didn't go a second time[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Ok thanks, but I mainly want to know if I should be leaner than I am now... Other opinions too please. I just want to know if I am too rich....

Yes the plug is tan BUT the exhaust tip has a black chalky residue on it... WTF!!! I don't know if i should just stay and not worry about it or jet and tune a little leaner..... I just don't know. help!

170 DJ main sounds lean to me. I run 200 now but will be knocking it down to 195 or 190. I don't run lid or snorkels. I also uped the pilot jet to 45, I think I got better response out of the 45. I can't understand why yourbike would be rich when the 170 DJ is leaner than the stock mikuni 165.

Pushin, if you look at buttfungus's web site and go to the mikuni vs. dynojet section you'll see that you are already leaner on the main by between 2 -3 sizes ! If your plugs look good don't mess with it , unless your a pro racer and need every ounce of h.p. you can get. You should leave the lid on and snorkles too . I could not tell the difference either way in h.p. just alot more noise ! I let my buddy ride it and he said it reved quicker with the lid and snorkles on ! Now I need a damn cdi box because I am constantly on the rev limiter now with a hmf slip on .

If you quad is running good , any FINE tuning should be done with the NEEDLE. this will make your mixture richer/leaner depending if you go up or down with the needle position.

Ok, cool. But how much of the throttle does the needle control? I mran like, quarter throttle to wide open...... Or whatever, I just want to know how much the NEEDLE controls.. Thanks
