Default Jetting question... NO NOT THE SAME OLD WHAT JET SHOULD I RUN .....

Well my quad runs fine but I "think" I could make it better. Well I periodically do plug checks and they look pretty good: Tannish color. BUT, The end cap of the exhaust has a black resisdue in it.... Don't get me wrong it's NOT like a bad carbon build up but like a black chalky residue, you get the point lol. My question is should I jet leaner?? I don't know what to do, it runs fine with a LEAN pop every FEW HOURS or so.. I don't know why it does that but I am mainly wondering if I should jet leaner because by looking at the EXHAUST tip it looks to be runing a bit rich, BUT the plug is a tannish color... So, what should I do?? Stay or go leaner???

DYNOJET 170 main, and needle.... Don't remeber what clip but I would go in steps one by one if I decide to try anything.

Default Jetting question... NO NOT THE SAME OLD WHAT JET SHOULD I RUN .....

Well ok.... I run the lid SINCE in a recent post I was told to stay with the lid on because of the vacume slide... I honestly didn't understand WHY it would be BETTER to run the lid but it was recommended to stay with the snorkles and lid on.... So I guess I will ask that question again... Should i run the lid on or off and the snorkles on or off. Please help people, I need to know what will be best. By the way.. Thanks racerx5x5!

You can cut coils off the spring to make it rev faster. It works good Cut 4 to 6 coils off of the slide return spring.

I did that slide spring deal a long time ago..... I honestly thought I told you about it LOL!! So take the lid off and rejet? may be just take the norkles off and rejet? I'm not sure what to do since quite a few people told me to keep the lid on, with me having the stock carb. Will I notice a difference in power? I am so confused LOL!
