Also, I fired up the quad, and within 1 minute, the head pipe is glowing read, factory jetting with carb.

 

Depending on your elevation, the TM45 usually comes with a 45 main jet, and i personally run my air fuel mixture out 1 1/2 turns out. what is your elevation??? mine did that a few times but were i was riding in high elevation and the air density was very thin and it was cold out, and head pipes were glowing, i had no probs though...

Not sure if you meant pilot jet. But the default main jet on the TM45 is 150 I think.

 

MY TM 45 came with 145 main jet straight from ron woods, I SAID 45 I MEANT 145!!!!!!

have you done a plug check? i also run the 145 main so you should be to lean if you are in that area. the stock pipe will glow at night or in the garage.

I got it all figured out. The air screw was way out and the idel screw was way in. Thus making it way to lean. I broke in the cams at 2000 rpm without any glowing at all after I adjusted everything. Its to bad my head pipe turned blue so fast though. Anyway, I appreciate everyones input.
