330 outlander is weak?
#1
I just bought a 330 outlander. The dealer jetted it for 4000-8000 ft. At home, 3500 ft, it runs great. I took it up the mountains, 8000 ft, and it barely had enough power to get out of its own way. Did the dealer screw me on the re-jet or are these 330's just weak at high elevations?

3500 feet to 8000 feet is quite a change in elevation. Your machine is probably running way to rich at 8000 feet. You probably need to jet leaner(smaller main jet) for the 8000 foot elevation. Normally, folks change the jetting at or around every 2-3000 feet in elevation. I hope this helps.

Yes Buttfungus is right(as usual)
You may be a good canidate for a "dail-a-jet" system on your quad. You would jet your carb for 8000ft,and the dial-a-jet would allow you to TUNE for lower elevations with just a quiuck twist of a ****.

I live at 500ft and the other day i was riding from 4500ft-8000ft.. I noticed some power loss but i could still spin the tires in High.. But for going over obstacles i had to put it in low.. It is still a Very Strong machine..
