it was a CRF 450 in 400ex frame lightened with 30% nitromethane blend, it beat jeffs 830 dsmonster with 35 hp shot of nos, he barely beat jeff, and the only thing that slowed jeff down was his front end comming up from what i heard, if jeff gets longer swingarm he will take that trick 450 [ it was a sparks CRF 450]...

 

DSmike, does the humidity down there slow you guys down, because the air down here is very thin...im not pulling these #s out of the air, so i will try again with different timer and measuring wheel..i will video tape if i can and post it in the future.you may be right, ill make another 20 passes to find out whats really going on..

Knutz runs over at the asphault drag strip in Las Vegas. He was wanting quads to come down and run with him. This is the only place that will give you accurate times. I hope to see you run in the 4's. That would be impressive! I am trying to get in the 4's, 5.0 is about as good as it gets for me. If I could loose a few more pounds off of myself, I might be able to get into the high 4's.

I have also run on dirt (hard pack) with my DS, and seen others run on dirt. They and I were running allot faster then I have at the drag strip. It also seemed like the pace was faster on the dirt. I don't know if it was taller tires, lighter tires, or what. But none the less, our times were faster. They might not of had the distance marked properly. I don't know.

Dunedevil, i know about knutz, i need to gear alot taller for that quarter mile, and that might affect my 300ft time...i have to get hoosiers and leather i think that is there requirements, it would be nice to be able to get a gripped holeshot the spin is hurting us...what have you done to your bike???do you have a rappy or DS?

 

Dayum, that 450 sounds mean. I have to give Sparks credit, he can make em run, but the real question is, for how long do they run? lol

 

There are single cylinder four strokes that can do the 4's on the pavement. We even do 4's on the dirt and 5's in 400ft. dirt drags. Slim

 

THANX, slim660 i thought i was delusional for a minute there...it is pretty easy to do that on pavement, i really started to build speed @ 300ft. ill try 400ft..i do also believe a single cylinder 4 stroke can do these times, i learned that last night, later

Can I run 104 to 110 in a stock motor? Will it help in the drags?
