ANNIHATER- it might be able to be done but unless your 720 got alot faster aftre you bought it that bike won't do it. i've raced that bike for about a year now. thin air might make you go faster

slim660 what do you run in the 1/8 mile? on planetsand if your the guy your in the 8.'s?? i have run a 7.5(a year ago) and got a 4.7 in the 330'.

you can't compare stop watches to timers!!

roostinonyou went a LOW LOW 4 at WOLF sand drags, they use a stop watch. at an actually track he runs 5.4's

Wallstreet, i got stacys dark purple one that he had just re-built from the bottom end up, i think the rings finally seated last night, its pretty light too... ive been impressed with this bike, i have hammered the crap out of it and still not a bit of blow-by, knock on wood its a tough one..

Quadloco, i think i hammered the clutch pretty good last night, but it is still fine, I run the same clutch in my other ds that stacy does, he put the new red Pami springs in my 720, with barnett plates, i have had the best luck with that set-up, the only downfall is that it is much harder to pull in clutch but i got used to that along time ago... OH non synthetic oil helps too, also this clutch set-up works for my other DS under severe load at dumont with 2nd gear launches with 16-40 gearing 22in paddles 10 paddle, ALL DAY LONG, dumping the clutch wide open..

DSMIKE, did you race it after last re-build??? i have done a few things here and there to it, i have it dialed in pretty good, are you the fastest around??? i dont think i am, but i think you have more comp out there than you know i thought a second was a second???? i want to have the clock that is going in slow motion like the one your talking about confused;

We've got a couple of Raptors we run 2 727'S AND 2 690'S or 686'S whichever is prefered. The fastest in the 1/8th has been a 7.6. This was the first and only time we have had a Raptor on pavement. The fastest 300ft. time was a 4.8 and the fastest 400ft. time was 5.8 both on dirt with just race fuel no NOS OR TURBO'S. This was done by the tracks timing system also; not a stop watch. Within the next couple of weeks I plan on bettering these times with some changes I have made; we'll see. I will post them if I better them. Slim

a second is a second, but it has to be started by a computer to get correct times.

i don't know if i have raced it after the many rebuilds, i have raced his 760 on NOS which i'm sure is faster. so why race the 720 without the power adder?

i know i have competetion around here. i wish some of you west coast guys could come around more ofter so we can share secrects.

YEAH dsmike, I would love to be able to get together with you guys and share some secrets and do some playing. I think we would have a great time. Maybe one day or year we could get together somewhere in between for a few days of fun. Slim

ANNIHILATER,

Do they run a full quarter at your alls strip? They won't let us run a quarter, only 1/8 mile.

I have a DS. It is a stage three on nitrous. I usually shoot a 18 shot of N2O, but have gone to a 22, That was a hell of a ride! I am set up for straight line drags, we don't have any hills to shoot around here.

On the asphault, I run a Jr. Dragster rear slick. It is light weight and small. I also have the big hoosiers that have a 72 (I am pretty sure) roll out on them. They are the right height, but are to wide. These are the same ones that everyone dynoed on at 4stroke wars. They can tell you how big they are.

If that track will let you, I would ask if you could run the 1/8 mile. If they will let you, they should print out on the sheet what your 330' and your 60' times are.

Dunedevil, i will check into it this week, they should do that, ive been testing a few different types of fuel, ya know 105 - 110 octane... it should be dialed a bit more within a few days, ill let you know what up with with LVMS, as far as i know everyone does quarter mile so i might have to set up for that...
