6" LED light bar installed, works great!!
I took the advice to install a LED light, and it works really nice: no burnouts yet!!! Thanks to all the people with helpful suggestions. I found a 6" bar of LED's that my motorcycle shop had, which is what I prefered over just a replacement LED bulb. I screwed it right on top of the old tailight. Looks real good and works great/bright.

I found the LED at my local motorcycle shop. Several of these local shops carry them. Check a harly davidson, or chopper shop, they are popular.
In South Dakota, to be street legal you have to have: High/Low headlight, brake/tailight, mirror, horn, lic. plate, valid drivers licence, and that's it! No turn sigals, bumpers, motorcycle license, or even required to make hand signals (which of course i do to be safe).
