I really don't know why they suck on the DS. They work awesome on the 250r. They ride really stiff on small stutter type bumps and ruts. They still soak up the big stuff just not the little stuff.
As far as not riding hard. Thats funny stuff you can ask around some people in here know how hard I ride!
Desert racers always ride Hard! LOL
You can always call TBR and ask them why there race bike (DS650) does'nt have Zero Preload anymore.

Works shocks are great on a DS. Problem is they overspring them for the guys that want to jump over houses. Set up with 210# mainspring, 240#(long) & 500# helpers they give an awesome ride. Zero preload, of course. It lowers the front, soaks up the bumps, and uses the suspension travel. IT still lands just fine from medium jumps. If you got to jump over houses, the DS is a poor choice anyway.

No, You have to send you rear to TCS to make it zero preload. Find someone with zero preload and ride it first before you spend the money. Talk to TBR and Todd @ TCS about zero preload on the DS. Unless you are riding MX standerd triple rate shocks are going to be alot better. I raced with both on a DS. TBR tested a DS with zero preload and could not get it to work better than Triple rates. The quad would beat the crap out of you! Has anyone else rode with both?
