3 DS questions...
Okay, it's been a while since I needed help- this is a long one.
Electrical- My battery is not charging, I recently had the armature replaced on the stator, and I don't think that is the problem. Will a rectifier cause this to happen? I have heard the rectifier to be the blame on some problems, especially on the DS. The starter works fine and lights, etc, but I have to charge it on a 2 amp charge once every few days so it continues to work. I bought a new battery that belongs on an '03 ds, mine is an '01.
Clutch- I my clutch is slipping pretty bad in 3rd and up, and my clutch cable has been adjusted correctly since I have owned the bike. I use NAPA 10W-40 oil, non-synthetic, and I don't think that is the problem either. I think I will just replace it, where can I get a complete set of fibers and plates as well as some heavier springs? Is there any problem with the oil I am running?
Brakes- Today I had a stick pulverize my fitting at the right front caliper, it began to leak so I tightened it back up and bled the system. But, I can't seem to get it to work very well, I am thinking about switching to stainless lines. How can I get them to work better until my lines are ordered and arrive?
Thanks a lot for help!

Call RWR for the springs... Get the 60% stiffer ones. I got them for $30 to my door with 2nd day air shipment.
About the charging problem.... My stator needs to be rebuilt because mine does the same thing but I KNOW it's the stator now because I tested it. At first I thought it was the voltage regulator so I got one with no luck, SO IF THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED I HAVE AN EXTRA ONE!!! PM me.
Also about the Napa oil, keep using it if you want because believe it or not it's Valvoline oil in a Napa labled bottle. Trust me I know this, and Valvoline is quality oil...

clutch - you'll only need to replace the fibers, the steel disks should be fine. $7 or $8 each for fibers at the dealer, takes 8 I think if memory serves, the very last fiber disk has a different part #, it belongs in a different set of basket notches than the rest, pay particular attention here when you pull the cover, before removing the disks take note where that last one belongs. It serves as a wear limit to protect the steel disks in the event the fibers wear out.

Thanks for the info, greatly appreciated.
I will go look in my service manual and make a note or highlight that area about the eighth disk.
I think I may just go and buy a new rectifier, I have a small credit left from a CDI that burned out.
Looks like I have some ordering to do today!
Thanks
