Default 14/40 for dirt?? A little too short or just right?

Would 14/40 gearing be good for dirt with 22" tires?? Would it be too much torque...Help

The 14/40 with 22" will be right at the same as running 15/40 with 20". Thats what i'm running and it works great!

Never got the message....

This damn PM system works like crap.

My mailbox is not full (80 messages total) and my history shows that I never received a PM from you....

Been having problems with the PM's for quite a while...Dbeck, fix it

So with 14/40 and 22's....that means I can't ride WOT anymore on 5th now does it......Or else I'll rev her too much.

has anyone had problems or noticed a big difference in over-revving with lower than stock gearing...Right now with my stock gearing and 22's I can easily hit the rev limiter in 5th (Switched back to old CDI to see how high 7700 RPM was (no tach))...then I switched back over to my RWR CDI and at WOT on 5th...it will rev probably to like 8000 RPM..Approx.. So at WOT with 14/40...I figure I can probably float the valves easily in 5th??

Does that make sense?

Thanks

Under a load in 5th even at wot throttle you shouldn't even have to worrie about floating the vavles......
