Yep, the marine grade grease is recommended....helps keep water out.

haha thanks!! I'm laughing because I should have known since my Dad is OMC and Mercury certified... He went to OMC school and Mercury school and the whole works for outboard motors..

And I got my bearings and seals from a local bearing shop for $46.... I got them there last time too...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

Brand is Federal Mogul, so any car shop should be able to help you..

Bearing #: 32008

Seal dementions: 50x68x8

Again any car shop like napa or anywhere should be able to help, and you wont have to pay a fortune for the bearings or seals... I got mine from a regular bearing shop, there arn't many of those around but I happen to live right near by one...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Default Man, this sucks...

When I replaced mine I only paid around $20 for two tapered bearings and the seals. I believe they were Timken (sp?) bearings, which are very good bearings. I used synthetic wheel bearing grease, and haven't had any problems.
