Default fuel octane

I run 100 octane unleaded in my 12.5 piston. Problem is I have to go to the next town to get it.. 110 leaded is in my town, can you mix 110 leaded with 90 unleaded to get 100 ??

You can mix it down. The problem is that it is hard to read your plugs, it makes them have a Grayish appearance. But I do the same thing. Leaded fuels in the U.S. are only for off-road vehicles only. They only banned them from regular vehicles is because of Emission standards. Lead is a major and unhealthy pollutant.

Ever try using an octane calculator for your engine? We used one to figure the best octane for the drag car. It reccommeded 106.. we were using 116.

We changed to 106 and dropped our ET's (after tuning) down to 10.76 from a 10.90

Here's a fuel mix calculator that we use: Fuel Mix
