Prolly. Light went out on my 03' after a few months. Ditch the light and mount a gauge that way youll never be wondering if you have oil pressure or not. The oil pressure sensor going out seems to be fairly common.

Yup...common problems are ....

1. Oil Sender
2.Temp Fan Switch
3.The lights themselves even go out.

I am on my third oil sender and mine quad is only 8 months old.

Sand45 ran into this - It would seem that if you power wash your quad, the sensor for the light gets ruined. Get yourself a new sensor and don't power wash near it. It's on the right hand side and two wires plug into it right near the fuel shut off valve.

The connection near the gas **** is the temperature sensor.
I believe the connection under the carb and in the cases is the oil pressure sensor

Both of these are tied to the red dummy switch.

Use a meter to find out which one is failing and replace it.

Good call - You should test both. However, Its more than likey the water temperature sensor. The water proofing on that particular sensor is practically non-existant wearas the oil sensor is locked up pretty good.

I just replaced my oil sender due to same light staying on. Sender was about 12 bucks. I blew off the conector good and slammed it full of dielectric grease to water proof it further. Never power washed my bike, garden hose only, and it still got in there. Doesnt take much to get by the rubber grommet.
