Let this serve as a warning to all the good folks on these forums,

I recently advertised my Trinity pipe in the classifieds on the atvconnection website, this is the only place on the internet that I have it listed, so the preditors are coming here to prey on ATV guys too!Do not let your self get caught up in this BS! I have the pipe listed for $ XXX ( Mods this is not taking advantage of a situation but a warning to all your subscribers) I received an offer from the individual below and recognized what was happening immediately ( thanks to Punishers recent experiance) I have all of our exchanges in the last 24 hrs and wonder if there is some way to track this crook down. Until then I'm gonna have a little fun with this bastage!

Sounds like a killer arrangement, You are gonna love this Trinity pipe, it will give you about a 25% overall power increase, and I'd like to send you the high velocity muffler bearings with that , together they are a great combo and will give you an additional 10-15% power increase. They are priced at $125 per set. The other item I'd like to send you is the oil bypass valve $65 that will eliminate the frictional drag that the oil puts on your engine and gives you a further increase of 5-10%HP , so with that and the pipe you should be making almost 50% more power with this setup.

So if you send me $3800 for the pipe and the other parts I'll send you the balance of $3160 less a $20 handling fee. Man you are gonna be the envy of all the guys you ride once you have that baby going.

I can assure you that you are dealing with a trust worthy person( at least thats what my parole officer says), and that I will make this transaction as smooth as possible for you.

ya know the sad thing is I showed this e-mail to 3 guys at work and ask them if they would do the "deal", 2 of them said yes!

This scam is being played on ATV'ers all over, there are post's by "BIGDROCH" and "Dill" at planet sand about this same scam, they are selling quads " be carefull out there" if it sounds to good to be true it probably is

 

I have one of my banshee's for sale and posted it on a buggy classified site and got an email from someone wanting to by my banshee sandrail for more then I was asking also.

I had another email from someone else the same deal as you. One was from africa and the other from europe, cant remember which country.

I think what they do is send a forged check and then have you wire them the money. After you wire the money then you find out the check is a fake.

I think that is how it works.
