That Donkey is fast enough!!!!!!!LOL! How in the heck am I supposed to stay with you if you go to ALKY??? huh!!
Actaully I think you will only see 2-3 "peak" hp. on top, but the torque goes up nicely also But if nothing else its worth runnig just to keep our motor running cooler, which alky does a good job!
Good luck.
Bigger.

whats involved in switching to alcohol.where do you get it. what ratio do you mix with upper end lube. where do you start with jetting and how do you tell if your lean. i am thinking of running the t-body that bigger is running and switching to alcohol with a 11:5 to 1 piston. also do you have to do anything with timming.

I am absolutely no expert on running alcohol, but chemically alcohol has less energy by volume than gasoline, hence the requirement to run such low air/fuel mixture ratios. My understanding is that you only benefit from using alcohol when your compression ratio is so high that your motor pings with race gas. 11:1 and 12:1 compression don't sound like they're in that ballpark. 14:1 or more sounds like alcohol territory. It's not running alcohol that makes the power, it's the extreme compression that the motor can run that makes the power.
Other than that running alcohol sounds like a hassle.
CT Racing has a "tip sheet" that explains the issues.
