major damage to stator!!- any ideas???

I pulled off the stator cover today and this is what I found stator damage

if the crank is not wobbling, then it looks like those flywheel hub bolts came loose causing the stator damage. you don't want to know what a new stator costs, hope it is salvagable.

thats what I believe happened too, most of the sheared bolt heads are connected to the sprag clutch- new stator $500- holy crap!!! I can buy a new crate engine for around 2k- there has got to be one hell of a mark up!

Hey Curtis you weren't running an advance key were you? Ron told me that my Flywheel was starting to come loose also but we caught it before it did any real damage. I noticed on mario's engine also that his spraque nuts on the back were worn down real funny also, it looks like either someone did it on purpose or somehow something is rubbing on it. Talk to Mario he has an extra stator lying around I beleive. Let me know what you figure out.

I know this thread is old, but i am in need of a new stator and this is what a search turned up. So does anyone know where i can get a stator for my ds650 cheaper than 500.00.
