DS650 Riders...I need help fast!!!!

riding tomorrow with MudStud and today I noticed that one of the hoses in the front of the case is wet and covered in oil. I barely moved it and it came apart.
I'm guessing it's only a vent, but the hose coming out of the case is only about 2" long and goes into a larger hose which runs up to the intakes for the airbox. This doesn't seem right. Should it come apart that easy? I put a zip tie on it to hold it for now, but plan on putting a longer hose on after the ride.
Is this something that I should be concerned about? The hose looks like it has been cut and put back together.

That is the way the come from the factory. Except not covered in oil. I have a hose clamp on mine just to keep it snug and then silicone at the joint as well. That keeps it so you don't get any oil mess.

Yep...also used stainless steel braided line. And I routed it up alongside the radiator frame so now it terminates under the hood with a filter on it. Looks like a K&N but it's not. Got it from Auto Zone I think. And the braided line from Pep Boys.

the unknown tube is your crank case vent. I initially rigged something similar to Eaglecollector, but it started dripping oil all over the place. Bought some HP air hose like the air hose at the gas station, ran it straight from the case up the frame by the radiator, under the gastank, down and connected it to the plastic guard over the front sprocket. Used a hose fitting to screw it into the hole i drilled into the plastic. now if the crankcase vents, the oil goes on my chain (subsequently lubing it). Brother has a 4stroke KTM dirtbike that the local shop did that to his.
