Default Axle Grease?

What grease should I use for my axle? Should I just use the same stuff I would do joints with? or what should I get special?

I like to use a synthetic High temp grease. Its usually a clear red color. I use this stuff on everything and I am very pleased

Use a "marine" grade grease. Even if it's not a synthetic grease it's the best for quads IMO. I say this because marine grease can be mixed halfway with water and still not loose it's consistancy!! It's also capable of high temperatures without breaking down. I used "shipmate" marine grease the last time I put in new axle bearings and so far so good.

Pushin is right. I use OMC Wheel bearing lubricant. Works wonders. Any boat shop will have what you need.
