You could shut the fuel off and see if it'll hit with the alky that is in the carb and not have to worry about it flooding. Seems that I read in here somewhere that someone else's quad would turn over and all but not start and it was the battery cable was loose........ or something like that, or it might have been those darn voices again...they said hi by the way.

1. What carb are you running???
2. Compression whats your compression??
3. Have you tested your plugs??
4. What shape are your valves in???
From hearing your nightmare before i hate to say this but it sounds like your valves have tightened up or are slightly bent. mabey cracked rings??? if this is the bike you were tryning to pull start that is what comes to mind frist. And would explain the fire. And when the bike dose not start for a long period there will be alcahol coming out of every crack on the bike that is normal. You must remember you are pumping in twice as much fuel and if you don't burn it it has to go some where?????????? And frist my bike fires every time BAM ! but if for some stupid reason i for get to push the little red button on the handle bars so she's not fireing just turning over. As soon as i realize my stupidty i turn off the fuel and proceed to start her once she kicks i turn the fuel back on.

im running an 11.5:1 comp piston...a tm45 carb...valves are in perfect condition i just got the head back and the guy checked all my valves to see if they were bent...I will check all of my cables and turn off my fuel and try to bust it off..and see what happens tonight..but i still think its something w/my carb!???i went and bought new plugs yesterday also!and the reason it caught fire is b/c i just had my head pipe on and alky shot out of the back of the carb and it backfired at the same time..

Marrtoo is right. Turn your gas off! Your quad will start and run for atleast a couple of minutes with the fuel it has in the bowl.
If it still wont start, double check you cam timimg, and make sure your plugs are firing. Thats it, unless like AZ said you screwed up your cam timing causing the valves to hit the piston, and bending one of them(worst case senario).
Martoo. does any one of your vioces every say anything about Biggerisbetter??? and if so, could you be so kind as to ask them if it would be worth my while going to 450 cams?

See the picture of your garage, I know what your problem is. It's a dump.
But really, it does sound like a stuck float.
I wouldn't let a carberator problem scare me away from a ride like yours...what else don't you l;ike about it???
