Did you stuff a rag down your carb to prevent dirt from getting in your engine when you were putting this carb in or messing with it? My friend did that and we couldn't figure out why the damn thing wouldn't start! He never told me he had done that and I honestly never would have thought about it. It would fire for about a second after cleaning the plugs and die. It turned out he had about a half gallon of fuel sitting in his pipe which was clogging it and also the stupid paper towel he had sitting inside his carb! I could have killed him.! And yes Raptor03 you guessed it! It was Tico!! LOL Also your float may be stuck open, but I am sure you have already checked that. Also what pilot jet are you running? And try and use a hotter plug.

Punisher....im not running a pilot jet and LOL i took my towel out...but to tell you the truth i am thinking that it is my valves or my timing i mean about a week ago we double checked and reset my timing soo...i mean think about it all of the fuel that doesnt combust in the engine just drips out of the exhaust port into my right side drag pipe..and it dripping out of the bottom of it onto the ground...i double checked and cleaned my carb again last night so i dont think that it is the carb...i bet its something small that can be fixed in a matter of 10 to 15 mins whatever it is!!!i just dont know what!!!

Is the needle tube(called the needle jet that the needle drops down into) drilled out or set up for alky? If so, your prolly adding too much alky when removing the main jet(if my thinking is correct). Removing the main jet works with the stk needle tube. Put the 230 back in and try it...
It may not be your main problem right now, but keep it in mind when you do get it running...

From what ive learned the emulsion tube which you speak of is at the max size 230. so i run no main jets in mine and she runs just fine.and i belive your heading in the right direction Ds650RaCeR !!
PS:if you need more fuel the next step is to mill or grind down the needle
