Default Switching to the Vortex CDI

I am going to sell my RWR CDI and get the Vortex.

Do these pre programmed curves have a rev limit or would I have to have someone program a limit into them?

any perticular reason why you are selling it? Were you unhappy with the performance?

The RW works great till you get above 12.5 to 1 compression piston. I will be going to 14 to 1 and it is easier to start with the standard mapping.

Default Switching to the Vortex CDI

Vegas650,

It depends on where you buy the Vortex. There is a company that will sell you one and put what ever curves in that you want(IE: 5 for pump gas and 5 for Alky or race gas) as well as what ever rev-limit you want(on each of the 10 maps). They will also change any or all of them for free anytime you want(you would have to remove the unit and send it to them though). Most companies that carry the Vortex have "generic" maps that work very well for many different combos and are set with certain rev-limits. This would be the way to go for those that wanna plug-n-play. For those that like to tinker or try different combos, the ability to (cheaply) change the maps is a big plus...
