Bigger Rear Sprocket
#11
15/42 is a great gearing combo, I have run it for a few years. I am just now changing to a 16/41 because I now have the power to pull the taller gearing and want to put a new rear skid without having to modify it to fit.

I have heard that some mod the rear skid plate and some don't and let the chain eat the plastic. I guess i'll find out soon huh?
I haven't looked at the rear skid, can you put some washers in there to give it a little space???
Also, I have read that you have to take off a wheel hub to get the sprocket on? How do you take off a hub. I'm sure I can figure it out, but never even looked at how to get it off or put it back on................Just want it to go smoothly.
Thanks for your help.

I had to cut off the plastic part just so the chain would clear. I also had to cut the end of the sid plate(closest to the rear) bend down the kick ups and then get them re-welded.
You cant space out the skid plate either beacuase the bolts all come in from the side.
The new spocket should fit over the hub just work it around until it goes over.
