Lectron 46HV Carb???
BillDS650 I think any carb peak HP @ RPM's depends on what you have in stalled on the DS, pipes, cams, piston, CDI, porting & valves. I think what MisterHp was saying that the Lectron 46HV carb on a stock DS with only a carb (Lectron 46HV), ported carb intake & modded end cap on 87 octane gas made peak @ 6200 RPM. I could be speaking out of place on this & if I am someone correct me on this. I think different carbs on the same bike might make peak HP @ different RPM range but not for sure, I no expert on this. All this is just IMO.

Lectron 46HV Carb???
When Az road my DS all that was done was a Alba pipe with 12 disc, Edelbrock 40mm Carb and K&N air filter with stock air box and lid off, 91 octane gas. It was making about 42+ HP at 7400 RPM and hitting the rev limiter hard. If you run 87 octane gas you might be loosen HP and RPM. Since then I added all the other goodies and it runes even quicker and pulls longer.

Lectron 46HV Carb???
BillDS650 that sounds good. I've had my set up for a short time but there was a big difference. I use to have to dump the clutch to get the front end up (flat ground) but now I can be rolling along & just hit the throttle & the front end just lifts to the sky. I've mainly done only 300' drags so for but it seems to rev very quickly. I'm very happy with my set up as I'm sure you are with yours. The best part is I have not had the rejet & tune it like the rest of my bikes. I think I'm going to put these on all my bikes that way I can ride & not have to tune & rejet all the time.

Lectron 46HV Carb???
BillDS650 why would one loose HP and RPM by running 87 octane?
The 46HV has a very nice over rev as can be seen on the buttfungus dyno sheets. Mater of fact it would float the valves very quickly on a non rev limited stock engine.
BillDS650 are you saying that your stock cam, stock valve spring engine is making peak power at 8500rpm. I am interested to know where peak torque is on this engine. Could you post a dyno sheet on your run that made peak power at 8500rpm. I have dynoed a PILE of different bikes and never have seen a stock cam engine make peak power above 6800rpm.

Lectron 46HV Carb???
No MisterHP the first setup was making hp all the way to the rev limiter. Because it was still making power when it hit the rev limiter, I added Ron Wood CDI, heavy duty valve springs, Pami 11 to 1 high compression piston, Pami clutch springs and Web cams. This set up pulls too 8500 RPM
