Default SAM COE PERFORMANCE

gentlemen,
for all of you who have dealt with Sam Coe Performance, please tell me how dealing with them was. In particular, how did they respond to any of your problems with their parts, services or whatever you had done by them or purchased by them. I have to confront them regarding the Fortin Racing billet gears. I lost my 3rd gear this weekend and I want to do a little research before i give them a call. Please help me out here, if you have any information regarding this company please post a response. I am pissed that i paid $800 dollars for two gears and only got 1-1/2 years out of those gears. thank you for your help.

If you go to Samcoe you are oing to be in for a big dissapointment!! For one thing you will never get a hold of SAM! And for another you will probably never see your parts again!! Do Not send your stuff to SAMCOE!! You will thank me for it in the long run.

The Punisher knows!

Wow, only two years out of their Fortin Gears

Are you looking for the gears for your Raptor? Just posting in the Bomb forum for info on Sam???

My buddy has their gears (in his Raptor) and hasn't had a problem. Knock on wood - man, if his gears go. . . I don't know what he will do. He has an 01 and just got done puttin in a new One-Way from LA Designs. His wife jokes that he has put more money into maint. than he has into modifications!

He had Sam put a high compression piston and cam in and had a fast quad for a while. Then Sam put in a higher compression piston and more aggressive cams and he didn't see any speed difference ($700 down the toilet.) My buddy doesn't know anything about engines. He expects to pay someone to do something to the engine and for them to make it faster. I'm sure he was disappointed this last go-around.

My advise if Sam won't stand behind the gears is to go with the '02 gear-set. I don't think I have heard of any issues with them.

PUT IT THIS WAY, I personally can say , It has cost me $8000+[I actually have reciepts] some people do not stand by their work and do ZERO R&D and let the consumer [LIKE US] pay for re-build after re-build until we give this guy all the feedback from our mechs [who never had the right parts from sam to begin with] then Samco started O-ringing sleeves because we couldt keep the head gasket from breakin loose and he did not compensate me or anyone I know for there nightmares with that issue...Im sure hes just guinni piggin someone else wheather it be gears, sleeves, heads, or 760 kits...I give him a thumbs down for customer service also..He also has a kinda wannabee tough guy attitude..he thinks hes reeeaaal cute.

I have warned everyone about this guy, {EVEN when Punisher was still doing bussiness w/ him.] Its not too fun handing out $$ and getting nothing.

I bought one thing from Sam Coe and had a problem with it and had to FAX them to get a return call. Then after they said they would get back to me, they shut off the FAX machine. They said they had too much work to take calls. Thats my opinion on Sam Coe.

I have yet to hear anything positive about Sam Coe & his shop that lasts more than a week. Generally after that week whoever said it has found out what Sam Did to cheat him. Until Sam cleans up his act, I'd just steer clear. I feel for Mario, $8,000 could have bought another brand new DS plus a bunch of acessories!

I have come to realize that I may very well be the only happy customer that has had Sam Coe engine work done but I'll once again play devil's advocate. He did me an o-ringed 720 kit with which I could not be more pleased. He was always very accessable & took his time on the phone with me to make sure I knew what needed to be known with this motor. His prices were way below what others were charging for the same service and turnaround time was 2 weeks or less. On top of this he told me he would sell me the 760 crank with Carrillo rod for $500 when I decided it was time for more juice. I definitely plan to do business with Sam again in the future.

i paid more for the 720 o-ringed cylinder than sam charges, and after seeing the cylinder he did for punisher, i wouldn't think of going less. if price is the bottom line then sam is the way to go, unless you factor in the repairs later. it appears if you buy just the parts from sam you can make them work, but i would say there the same quailty as others. even trinity is working on a 720 that they don't want to send out until they know it works right.
