Found a site called www.raptortranny.com look at the long list of whats dysfunctional about these quads. Makes me feel a heck of alot better about buying a DS. And for anyone who has considered a Craptor take a REAL good look. These are stock quads that have these problems.

 

thanks for the info, but the rest of us have known about that site, and the problems that the 01 raptors had for a very long time. Not to mention the fact that the problems were fixed for 02. keep up with current events, did you know theres a new yamaha, honda, and remade ds????

Mike, I knew about the site. Dave has the sticker on the axel carrier of his quad. It is a very, very helpfull site to those that need to repair their tranny. I know Dave used it to aid him at least once. I wish we had a site like that as well.
