Outlander winch installation
Just finnished installing a Ramsey ATV2500 winch on the first of my two outlanders. One of the last things I did was hook up the switch to the ignition wire (red with purple stripe). When I detached the harness from the spedo I noticed a three lead pigtail out of the main harness to a plug. One of the wires was the Red with purple. Does anyone know if the Outlander 4x4's are prewired for the winch and I just didn't find the other end? Is it possible the Power leads are in the main harned under the front cowl? Does anyone know what that 3 wire lug is for, if not a winch switch?

Outlander winch installation
Hi,
I just purchased a 2005 Outlander 400. Along with it I purchased the WARN 2.5 winch install kit. I am following the instructions that cam with it, but the place the have you install the solenoid/contacter just doesnt exist as it shows in the install diagrams from Bombardier. Does anyone else know where a good location is to install the solenoid on the 400 Outlander? I am sure I can make it fit, but would hate to have issues later becaue I put it in a bad location.
Thnks Mike

Mike, I put mine under the switch cover left side top of frame. Drill & bolt on, run wire thru top of frame to the battery. It was very simple to do. I ride at windrock in east Tn, an not had any problems so far. Good luck on the mount!
