Hey guys I was looking at the jet kit I got with my bike when I bought it (Im the second owner).

I realized that none of it has ever been opened and that my bike has never been jetted.

I am running a K&N Filter with Closed Air Box/ and a White Brothers e-Series

I would like to run it without the air box cover when I can especially since its getting cooler here in florida.

What kinda of jetting should I be running? 160-165-170? Need some input here

What does the plug look like? If its black (either one will do) it's rich, if it's bone white your lean. It may be fine, is it running ok??

 

Its running pretty good though its performance lacks something to be desired Im getting beat by things I should be beating.



My bike is also running hot... Ive checked the thermo stat its fine working great. Sooo ... Im thinking that it is running lean.

 

Also my friend has a DS that is pretty much bone stock the only thing he has is a UNI Filter I gave him.

Should He think about some jetting or not just yet

 

Pull the plug and look at it... No one can tell you if it needs a jet change without at least seeing your plug. No one mod means you need a jet change. That's where you are going to have to tune it depending on how it's running. Mikuni has a pretty good tuning guide on their site that will give you some help... If you want to pull a plug and take a good high res photo of it and post it people will be able to give you some options.
