Default Went riding today ..... It wasnt pretty

Went riding today and was doing some stunts when my tie rod decided to bend throwing me about 10 feet and sending the bike end over end and breaking the clutch lever. Needless to say the people near me got a show. Got the rod bent back kinda a straight and rode the rest of the day. However I am now kinda worried about the rod now and I have half a clutch lever (makes clutching kinda hard).

Where is the best place to get tie rods (Better than stock) and a clutch lever (aftermarket)

Thanks guys Ill have a pic posted on my jetting question later

ASV Clutch Leveronly problem with this set up is that the stocker incorporates the "start in any gear" sensor unit. You'll have to be in nuetral to start which could be a problem if you ever stall it in an ackward situation.

Does that clutch lever work with the stock cable? I might have to look into that.

About the tie rods-- good luck and if you find a good source let us know. I bent one of mine last April. You can only get Bomb tie rods with the ends, so they cost about $90. The dealers I contacted don't stock them. (big surprise there) I just straightened mine as well as I could, and have been riding on it since May.

I went with the GYTR it has needle bearings instead of a brass bushing. I like the pull. In regaurds to the senser switch you can take it off but cut the plug off and tape it up.

About any good machine shop should be able to make you some tie rods out of cro-moly. The threads are standard and rod stock is easy to come by. It may cost you as much as stock, but they should be much stronger. Hope this helps.
