Default cylinder price?

How much for a new stock cylinder or if any body has one for sale. I'm looking into stroking my ds to about 88mm for a 700cc with a stock cylinder. Right now I'm running 102mm cylinder with a pami piston at around 670cc but the rules have changed and now I can run up to 700cc. I been talking to falcon cranks and the are making a 88 mm stroker crank that is balanced and roler bearing. They said that for my type of racing it would be better to have more stroke rather than more bore because I'm racing at 9000' or higher because it sucks longer and can get more air rather than a bigger bore would. any idea guys.

Wow.

At that price why bother?

Turn your 680 into a 703. Just go with enough compression to eat up 3 cc's. . . can you do that? Doesn't higher compression mean less cc's?

I just helped someone out and sold my stock cylinder for $150 (sold it with my stock head - $400).

If you want to trade, my buddy has a stock bore cylinder and an 11:1 Pami piston he would trade you for your jug and piston. Wouldn't you need a special piston for a stroked crank? (Too late. . . my mind can't process )

Correct me if I am wrong, but is 700cc big bore the same as a 700cc stroke?

700cc = 700cc

The only advantage that I know of is that you would be useing less piston weight with a stock bore. And you would have a better head to cylinder sealing.

This is when Mister HP should hop in here and shed his expertise.

didn't you do good with the engine you had last year? might want to try losing some weight on the quad. i'm finding if you look hard enough it's there.

I think when I get to rebuilding here in a month or two I will try to trade some one for a good stock cylinder. Depending on the condition of my cylinder and pami piston. My cylinder has been ringed and 10mm head bolt holes. I will probly go with the stroking it only if pami sells high compression piston for this setup. sorry for the late reply I was at a banquet for end year racing and I received the silver bowl for rookie of the year and I also got a jacket with my name and rank 4th quad 2003 cool huh
