help with tuning

Default help with tuning

can anyone tell me how to tune my ds for more performance, right now i have a modified end cap. the reason i want to tune it is i raced my cousin last night after we got my clutch bac together and i can beat, he changed his exhaust and i'm still right next to him and we can't seem to pull away from one another, he has a stage 3 jet kit, k&n and a modified exhaust. he use to beat me all the time.

might try a 15 front sprocket and a call to mr hp or try a 720 kit that's a pretty noticable change

15 front sproket? whats the front sprocket from the factory and what will that do for me and i don't have the moneyto do that big bore. i just want to tune it with spend ing as little money as posible i'm on a budget right now

it will help you off the line a little quicker and in a lot of places it will give you a better top end . there like 12.95 at rocky mt.

Is the only mod you have the Tip?

Default help with tuning

Do this:
air lid on
air tubes in, zip tied to the frame instead of run under the tank
stock needle in the richest position
175 main
front tires 15psi

If this wont do the job you need the intake ported...it's good for about 4hp

Ported intake and billet end cap are the cheapest and quickest upgrades for the DS. They provide more hp per dollar than any other mod.

Got any good pics yet of your ported intake manifold? Can you send me one? Do you do them for the TM?

Don't forget to consider a CDI and airfilter. If you combine those with a ported intake and the endcap, I think you'll be surprised at the performance.
