Default rear hubs

when went to sand mt, for ds days i meet jeff well i had a chance to see his yellow machine and he told me he had his rear hubs modded to use both ds and honda rims. well i was talking with mr. hp and he machines the hubs to allow this, by drilling in new bolt holes. well this is a interesting mod that opens up a new line of rims that can be used for drag racing, plus save some weight well thought i tell a few of you about this.

I have two different styles that he has done for me. One is just a dual pattern, one Honda, the other DS. This one is on my trail bike. It can handle the jumps and heavy duty duneing.

The other is a super light weight just for drag raceing. They are in just the honda pattern.

Both of these can also be done in the yamaha pattern.

If you need to contact Eric, here is his e-mail

Funny you should say that!!! I went down to his place in Kentucky, to check out his shop. While I was there, he showed me a set of front hubs that he machined out of plastic.........No front brakes, just plastic hubs and ulta light tires and wheels. He had it set up to race at a local track down there. But when he won, they DisQualified him because of the hubs......Can you believe that?

But seriously, this guy can do the machine work! And he has great advise! He knows how to run the 300' drags!

Between "The Bomb", Eric(MrHP), and Randall (Eric's Cousine who has a dealership), You could go into mental overload in the information that they can give you.

The stock hubs have that heavy steel insert, I wonder if it would be better to adapt another bikes hubs to the DS.
Does anyone know Mr.hp's 300ft times?

Late 02 Baja's and all 03's have an all aluminum hub. I guess Bombardier decided the steel insert was overkill. The 04 is a different animal with the axle having a shorter spline length.

I bought some 03 hubs and machined them to within an inch of their life! They weigh14 ounces each.
