Default New Years week? Where is everyone going?!

They seemed to have magicaly found me a days worth of work for Wednesday, so it will be Thursday morning when I'll be there.

Tony, I have the Badger but I have no way of getting it to the dunes. I don't know if Larry has room on his trailer or not and if he did, would he be willing to stop by and get it. If he does and will, your son is more than welcome to it for the weekend. I'm sure it will get him to the hill and back on the flats. I'll call Larry tonight if he doesn't read this first.

Sam, Yes.

6" of snow? Damn, hope those dunes aren't wet. My quad doesn't like wet sand.

PS. That Badger is forsale. It's all that's left. The pooplaris and LT80 are sold already.

Frank..
Im not sure about on the raptor but Im running 160 mains and I have to run with the needle all the way up. Fuel screw I have at 1 1/2 out same with the slow air screw. The floats HAVE to be at 9mm. I found that out the hard way. My main air jet Im not sure about. I ordered me a couple of NVQT needles but they haven't arrived yet I was hoping to be able to try the new neddles out this weekend. Prolly just as well. I'd have to start all over again. And I have everything dialed in except the top end.

Hey Tony sorry dude but I got both quads and Chris's YZ 250 going this time. I know the badger won't fit with the YZ on there. It just sneeks in there when all I have is the DS and the EX on there.
You should have stopped by on your way to Vegas. Then you could have stuck in your toy hualer. Besides i think Dave is trying to sell it. I bet you could talk him into a cutting you a good deal.

I appreciate it guy's, I found a rental place here. They had 1 250EX left and I snagged it. Damn! I am going into the rental business!! These guy's charge an arm and a leg! Anyway I will be out there tommorow early afternoon sometime. Mario is trying to convince me that I should park out in the Grotto next to Comp Hill, I think it would be kind of cool, that way we would have somewhere to kick near the hill. Since we tend to do most of our riding at the hill it may not be such a bad idea. What do you guy's think? Anyway let me know, and Sam I have every tool know to man almost for these stupid quads so your covered one way or another.

Thats cool you picked up a quad. Im gonna stick with the spot we were at on T-Day. I like the ride to the hill any way And the spot we had was great. No dust and much less crowded. But when we do go to the hill for any length of time it would be cool to have a place to hang out and throw back a cold one

160 is a good place to start on the FCR's. I ended up running 165's on the 760 at Dumont and again at Gordon's Well. Needle all the way down and I think 2-1/2 turns. (Sounds like others run with the needles all the way up? )

Got back from Gordon's Well this morning. Had a great trip. Took Sand Hwy from Gordon's Well to Glamis (Gekko Road) then went up the vendor row and out to Boardmanville for a few beers and a burger. Filled up on fuel and headed out to Olds for a few runs. Then duned back to Gekko and got on the Sand Highway again for the ride back.

While at Olds we saw Robbie Gordon and his rig.

The Sand Highway was AWESOME. Jeff and I were in 5th gear flying. Our buddy Dale was on a Z400 and said he had it pinned in 5th gear and he couldn't keep up with us I am still a little sore from that ride. I'ld do it again in a heartbeat!

Yesterday we rode over to Buttercup and went across the boarder to Mexico just to say we did it!

AZSand and KMDuner came out on Sunday to drag race with us and drink a few beers. Good to see them. Raced Patton and the Flats and went on a little dune ride too.

Awesome trip!

Not bad. . . he took it easy on me

Since I don't have an extended swing-arm he didn't launch off the line to make it a closer race. AS's is fast and a good duner. You can tell he and KM have fun ruling the dunes!

Mine isn't set up as a drag bike at this point but, I don't think it ever will be. I appreciate the fast bikes but, I won't spend my day at the drags. I enjoy the dunes too much. Jeff was telling me I would probably really enjoy a desert race and he is probably right. I think that all out speed for long periods of time is more my style.

The sand at the flat drags is real sticky. I can see why KMDuner needs that swing-arm. AZ could probably use at least another 2" on his swingarm to keep him grounded.

Was fun having all the DS's at the strip though. I'm sure there were a few people thrown off by how fast the DS's were.

I had a lot of fun on Saturday. Pulled up next to a streatched Shee and gave the guy the nod. . . We went up to the starting line and took off. He was behind me the whole waydown the track When we got to the end and turned around he flagged me over and said he didn't take me seriously off the start because he didn't think I was fast. . . he gave me props though and said it was fast and that was cool.

I love sneaking up on the unsuspecting Shee and watching them shake their heads

That's cool. I know your DS has a lot of top end pull to it. At least that's the way it looked at Dumont. A 660' flat drag you'd surprise a lot of Banshees IMO.
