I think you had right in your signature; 14:1. Overall power is what you want - but there will be gains over 11.5:1 through the entire RPM range. My understanding is that race motors of all kind are high compression.

However, if you are running NOS, this might not be the best choice. Lower compression pistons work better with NOS. Im not the expert on NOS, but that is what a few race mechanics have told me.

Default high compression piston help??????

Man, 13-14:1+ compression has gotta be hard on the rest of the motor..... Around here 12.5:1 compression is like "HOLY $HIT, THAT'S CRAZY!!!"

14:1 is no problem in the DS - I've been running it for about 6 months. Its nice. I also run the 13:1 piston in my 400EX - also very nice - not hard on anything - its all good!

The 14:1 is the way to go on Alcohol. I really like mine! I have abused mine on TT and circle track with no problems, and yes it drops right in the stock cylinder without any mods.
