SCRAMBLERS, Unfortunately, due to various problems I have not completed my accelerator pump tuning for the RW STG 1 kit yet. About a month ago I was almost done, but then I had problems with the pipe and sent it back to RW. I'm still waiting to get it back. In the mean time, I found out that I was using an HSR42 jet needle instead of an HSR45 jet needle. I have some new jet needles on order and they should be here Wednesday. But it may still be a few weeks before I get my STG 1 parts back and finish my tuning.

Can you tell me if you have the following symptions:

1) When adjusting the Pilot air screw, there is no peak in the RPM - i.e. the RPM does not drop as you turn the Pilot air screw out several turns.

2) The just off idle throttle response is crisper when the DS engine is cold, than when it has warmed up.

Based on your answer, I should be able to determine if you will need to buy a new jet needle to tune your accelerator pump. Are you running a hi-flow K&N sitting off of the carb or in the airbox with the lid removed or lid on?

EFI uses a throttle position sensor that acts as an accelerator pump.
