Rally Brake Issues
#1
Is anyone else experiencing problems with brakes on the Rally? On all of my brother's three machines, the rear brake has been adjusted as tight as it can go, but it is still ineffective. The only rear braking is with the foot brake. The front brakes are getting the same way. They can barely hold it on a hill and are getting mushy. The problem is identical on all three machines.
Does anyone know if Bombardier has addressed this or has anyone found a solution of their own. We just returned from two days at Windrock, and the capability of these machines is nothing short of astounding. The achilles heel, however, seems to be those darned brakes.

Herd on another forum that Bombardier was working on the Rally's brakes and some other improvememts for 2004-5 model's. Took a test ride on one and was impressed that a 175 could move like that. I might just pick one up for a spare for that price.

DanW, what year are your machines? In '05 the put the rear brake on the axle instead of the ouput shaft of the tranny. The older rear brakes were complete crap. They were even worse to change the pads on.

I love my Rally. It will run as fast as my Polaris 330 Trailboss. I would like to have the upgraded brakes on mine but I don't like the idea of the racks on the newer ones. Mine is an 04 model with the trays and they are handy to carry things with. They have great little motors. I don't quiet understand why BRP is selling it's new DS250 when it can't be any better than the Rally. The brakes and the position of the shifter are the only things I don't like.
