Default Handle bar mounting ????

Ok today went down and got a set of the pro taper bars for my DS Baja and of course the box says fits most motorcycles and atvs.. Should have been my first clue hugh.. Spent the next 30 min trying to figure out what brand they where made for.. It was not a DS!! Gave up and out came the tools!! So after cutting off the rounded ends and grinding them flat I put on the bars... Here lies my dielema the hand grips are level with the top of the gas cap!! It seem to turn ok and all the way but being 6'2 I feel like I am reaching all the time!! I have not got my chance to ride it yet but has any one else put pro tapers on and if so how did you make a spacer?? Or did you leave them the way they where??? Also any hints on how to keep my "bark busters" due to the holes being to small??? Any ideas???

Well ther's a couple of things you could do , first try alba action . com they have a riser that extens your stem or you could just get a new extended stem hope this helps .

What bend did you get? You need either an atv bend or a cr high bend. I have the cr high bend with a trail tech riser and Renthal fat bars. They are about 1" higher than stock, just perfect for me (6'6").
