so what would be better, have top of the line works or middle of the road elkaS?

 

I for one dont think the quad rates are worth the extra money. The Elka tripple rate elite for the front are the way to go.

 

How do the bajaX gas shocks compair to the works and elkas or the original yellows?

 

Bartlett, from the looks of that picture it must have hurt a tad huh? That all happend from a jump? Looks like you slammed into a rock at about 80. Works shocks wont handle a 100ft? That sucks...

 

Bartlett, are you a big guy? or a little guy? That would have a big effect on it.. I am no light weight,, I would not jump it that far or hight simly due to that much weight landing...

 

I think weight of the rider has a lot to do with a lot of what works and what doesnt. I want to get some rezzie front shocks and possibly a rear down the road... I hear mixed stories on works. I ride a lot of MX and with a 23" front tire and the fronts set pretty stiff it's kind of hard for me to bottom out the front end. The rear shock however bottoms out frequently on big landings. If I stiffen it up too much it slings shots the rear all over the place.

cdaleusa My friends have their shocks rebuilt about once a year or year and a half. I have about 150 hours on my works fronts and they are good as new, but my rear is in bad need af a rebuilt. I bought the quad one year ago next week. Anyway, its just money, buy a set of each and tell us what you think.
