I havent tried the hmf, but installed the billet end cap this weekend along with other proper setup combo.
This thing feels nice. I cant tell exactly how much it helped, because of snow, but from time to time when it would
hook it pulled hard.

Id say buy the billet end cap, and use the extra money to buy a k&n filter w/ outerwear and a couple jets.

go with the end cap, also, send in your intake manifold for porting. then take the extra money you have left over and save for the carb.

If you go with the HMF, you get lighter weight, quiet core, and spark arrestor. It also improves the looks, IMO. Things to think about in case you want to ride in the mountains.

I thought the HMF was NON Spark Arrested?

One of the things I like best about the end cap is that If I need to be quiet and spark arrested, it only takes three minutes to do the change over to the stock end cap! I can't make my E-Series quiet... Nor can you make an HMF quiet if needed.

The end cap I got from CountryJoeGlass is EXTREMELY loud!(3" in diameter) LOL, but I like it a lot and power gain is awesome. I just need to find one of them kitchen strainers..... AKA spark arrestors.
