The snorkle works fine clamped to the carburetor with filter on the end (no other support). Also it is recommended to put about four hose clamps, evenly spaced, along the length of the snorkle. Just tighten them till snug to keep the snorkle from collapsing or oscilating under heavy load--full accelleration. If you are running the TM45 it will lean out approximately two jet sizes when you add the snorkle. On the dyno at Sills HD in Paducah I made 54.2 hp w/11.5:1 piston, RWR CDI, TM45, 155 main jet, snorkle w/K&N filter on 93 octane pump gas...for what it's worth....take it or leave it?!
