what are you paying for a qt of red line just courious.

 

I've been reading all the posts here with great interest as I'm a new bomb ryder. But as stated in the other posts I just bought a still in the crate 2000 traxter, that came with a year 2000 owners manual that states not to use any synthetic oils. Now I realize that younz have all been posting about a 650 and I have a 500. Lubricating wise, is it all the same? Can I now use moble 1-safely? Or did they recently change the clutch setup since 2000 to make it impossible for me to use Mobil 1 yet? The dealer said that as long as I change the oil atleast twice a year it didn't matter what kind of nonsynthetic oil I use. Does this sound right even with what has been stated about these moly compounds? Please help clear the mud. Thank you

 

I have used Amzoil, Honda HP4, Yamalube, Quaker State ATV oil, (which I bought at WaL-Mart) all have worked well in the DS.
