THE RUBBER WASHER GOES ON THE MOTOR JUST BEFORE THE SLAVE SLIDS IN PLACE. IT KEEP THE PULL LENGTH RIGHT AND THE ANGLE RIGHT. SOUNDS LIKE YOU DIDNT ADJUST THE CLUTCH ARM FORWARD 2 CKICKS OR THE ROD ON THE SLAVE WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH(GUY WHO BURNED UP HIS CLUTH) I HAVE HAD MINE ON FOR 2500 MILS AND I LOVE IT.

Doing a little research on this, I found that the Magura clutch for the kx250/500 (0120492) is also the same clutch for the raptor according to this Article.

"...We contacted Magura USA and obtained their HYMEC kit for the Yamaha Raptor. The complete system is part # 0120492-10, which is actually the same as the KX250 kit with the addition of a spacer for mounting."

BigDaddy331 stated that the kx250 clutch will work on our ds, so is it safe to say that so will the raptor clutch? Any updates that the kx250/raptor Magura clutch (part #0120492) work successfully on our ds650?

I lubed my stock clutch cable and it made a noticable improvement to pull effort.

This is a copy of a PM I just sent to Sandoholic as a reply. My appologies for not doing this sooner. Mario is right on the money. Adjust it either way, it won't fully engage or disengage - you choose.

"meant to repost on this very same topic. I put it on my bike thinking cool! got the 60%'s in and I've got stock feel! Well, that was short lived. Now remember I got this from my local dealer who said they have installed 20 - 30. It was probably more like 5 or 6. Here's what I found. It does fit to the motor perfectly, but the throw is not enought for the DS gear box. You have two choices when using that set up. 1 - you can adjust it so that it doesn't release all the way out or 2 - aldjust it so that it doesn't fully disengage the clutch. Just doesn't work as well as it should, I told them that after my second attempt with a new one (second one I tried). Oh, by the way, the first one had the same problems but it also leaked. I did some research on the KX 250/500 and found that we pull almost 3/8's of an inch more at the clutch arm. The system will not work. Sorry I haven't reposted on the clutch."

Scoby, I checked out your links and the Billetanium looks like a quality product but I didn't see one made for the DS. Does Billetanium make one for our DS?

That post was from 3 years ago, and there web site is down Billetanium

I wonder if they are still in production?

Doing a search on here, I found this old thread Magura Clutch.. for DS650 What got my attention was BigJon's post, that Magura is making one for the DS. I PM him for an update.
