Weak upper A-arms?
#1
Has any one out there in DS land had any trouble with bending there upper a-arms when riding on any tracks?
I have a friend who has gone through two sets and has since then sold his DS. After seeing this problem first hand I opted to buy some aftermarket uppers from team Alba.
I havent had a chance to try them out yet. Just wondering if any one else has had this problem.

Are any special tools required to remove and install the upper A-arms? Was it fairly easy? The A-arms have adjustable camber & caster? Are they chrome or painted the same color as the DS frame? Are they any lighter than the stock A-arms? Let us know how they improve steering and handling. Do you know of any other suspension/handling/weight reduction aftermarket parts for the DS?

The a-arms are made by timmy boy and are sold through different companies such as greydon and alba. Alba wanted about 400 w/ball joints. Greydon wanted more without but had the option to have them chromed. Which from what I know weakens metal. Mine match the DS perfect.
As far as instal they were fairly easy. I think they are lighter than stock but not enough to make a difference.
I havent had the chance to go out and really ride to see if they handle any better than stock but ill let you know.
