Default Intake tube!!!

Cool deal, are you going to get hold of some stock intake tubes for the test? Or are you planning to disclose all of that info in your post after you know whats going on? Seems like the best testing results come from a small group of testers. Good luck!

Default Intake tube!!!

Blackhawk, I will be testing with the stock tube. I just ordered one last Wednesday and it will be here this week. I talked to Mario today and we're trying to set something up for next weekend. We've got a couple of options, we should be finalizing the plan this week. Looks like were going to test the following:

Carb-mount K&N
Prototype tube with K&N
Stock tube with K&N
TM 48 vs. Lectron 48
Dual 39's
91 octane vs. 95 octane on my Stage two (just for giggles)
possibly a couple of different pipe variations

Anything else you guys want us to test???? lets here it!
Anyone else in Vegas who would like to help out with the cost and so some testing as well, we could sure use the help. Maybe we should have Mario sell rides on his bike for $5 a piece to offset the cost of the session........ yea right!

Sounds like a lot to tests, however we think we can get this done in a couple of hours.

We're looking at the possibility of using 1 of 3 dyno's we know of. We should know more by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Default Intake tube!!!

Hey BigDaddy331(you a ford guy?),

I have a TM45 with the accel pump(#50 nozzle), a stk intake tube from my 01, and a Vortex CDI(with 5 maps for gas and 5 for alky) that i could send you if you wanted to add these to your testing. My quad is down right now so i can't use them. I would however like them back after the testing. I would really be curious to see the hp difference between the TM45 and dual 39's.

Well, i have yet to put the head on since adding the piston...

I'm still waiting on my head to return from being ported. You will prolly have your 12.5 in before i ever get my head back...

The TM45s are a good carburetor. Just be sure to get it dialed in -perfectly!-

birdoprey you still not have your ported head back? If not that sinks! It was nice meeting you & talking bomb stuff back in the first of the year @ shiloh. I would like to see that EFI beast soon. I'll let you know when we make it back down there.

I would like to see all that too, but that sounds like 2 or 3 days IMO! Can all that be done in one day on the dyno with tuning?
