cooldevil-Yes i have the big gun cdi and it does have a limit which i think is 1000 rpm above stock but whatever its limit is i know i dont hit it now .MisterHP-I am getting the billet end cap for my baja and your settings of (175 main-lid on-needle in 5th position-and 87 octane)are those compatible with running at sea level or from sea level to 1000 feet in elevation?I would also like to know how quick it is to change from the billet end cap back to the stock one?

Yea that works good at sea level to 2000ft with no problems. Switching end caps takes about 2 mins. Althought the new 04 bikes take a little longer because the canister seems to warp out of shape a little bit when the end cap is taken off. But it's not that big of a deal.

MisterHP-Thanks for the feedback on the billet end cap it sounds like it will be a big improvement over the stock set up.

I think he means stock needle with mikuni jetting. also for some gains is to put some hose clamps around the intake boot to keep it from vibrating under exceleration. I took it one step further and wraped it with wire all the way up, you could do this to with hose clamps. see my picks if interested.
